From 1 March 2026, all individuals wishing to avail of the Free Travel scheme must possess a valid and in-date Free Travel Public Services Card. The ‘Date of Expiry’ is displayed on the front of your Free Travel PSC.
This update is part of ongoing efforts to ensure secure and efficient access to travel benefits for eligible citizens.
To renew your card or apply for a new one, please visit MyWelfare.ie or attend your nearest Intreo Office or PSC centre.
Applicants are advised to allow at least 10 days for delivery to ensure uninterrupted access to Free Travel.
